Outfit: Stripes & Sharkbites

I recently bought my first shirt from StyleMint. At first I was kind of wary about it and I wasn't sure what the whole fascination with it was. I thought, There just t-shirts, right? And kind of expensive ones at that. But I loved the Madison tee the first time I saw it on Jane of See Jane. And first time buyers get 20% off, so I figured why not?

Now I'm even more in love! The t-shirt is soft and comfortable and I can definitely see myself wearing it for a long, long time. Let's just hope I don't spill anything on it since it's mostly white.

Plus, now I own something with stripes!

Oh, and if you're wondering about the sharkbite part of the title; the Madison tee is in a sharkbite style, meaning that the sides are slightly longer than the front and back.

Inspirational Quotes (via Pinterest)

Only two more days of classes to go and my semester is over! Yay! But if you're still studying for finals, or had a rough week at work, or just need a little boost then here's a little bit of inspiration for your Friday.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! I'm seeing Dark Shadows with Jackie and I can't wait!

P.S. -- Today is Eat What You Want Day, so put aside that salad and scarf down on some fries!

Lusting: Galaxy

I've been seeing outerspace-inspired clothing all over the place lately. I'm not sure if it's because for some reason I really want something that has stars and supernovas on it, or if it's some new trend that has just been big banged into existence (see what I did there?), but I love it!

What do you think?

Don't these shorts seem like a fun DIY?

What I Would Rather Be Doing

Today, I'm finishing writing a 15-page paper on playing god in Victorian science fiction novels (Frankenstein, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, The Island of Doctor Moreau, and Herland). In terms of paper topics I have to admit this one is pretty interesting, but it's still an essay and I'm struggling to get those last few pages written.

Where is the muse of essay writing when you need her? If she could come to my apartment with the last few pages done and some Chinese food that would be great.

Anyway, instead of writing this paper I would rather be doing a number of things like...

 Reading

Painting my nails (via Chalkboard nails)

 Taking a soothing bath

 Relaxing in the sunshine

 Looking at blogs

Riding my bike (via Delightfully-Tacky)

Swinging on a bench or watching the waves at the beach
