Aerie Bra Fitting Campaign

I was asked by Quality Blue Community to use Aerie's Bra Guide to find the perfect fitting bra, and it couldn't have come at a better time because I really needed a couple new bras. The Bra Guide is easy to find on the website and very easy to use; you simply put in your bra size (as seen in the picture below) and then you can see all of the bras in your size. Because nothing is worse than clicking on a pretty picture of a bra and discovering its not available in your size anymore.

The most important aspect that I want to mention is that Aerie uses real girls to model the bras! When you search via your size, the model has the same cup size as you. You'll be able to tell instantly how the bra will look and fit on you because of how it looks and fits on the model. Wonderful, right?

If you would rather not browse by your size, you can also shop by bra type (push up, lightly lined, and more). The Bra Guide also has Fit Tips in order to help you find your perfect size, and it shows you how to measure yourself as well.

Since I wear bras obviously to support my girls and generally don't want them to be seen, I always like to have one nude bra and one black bra. I searched via my size and then browsed the lightly lined full coverage bras. I clicked the little gray square in the corner of the picture that says "Details" in order to learn more about the bras, and it helped me narrow it down to Sunnie and Katie

My favorite of the two is the Sunnie bra because it molds very well to my body, it's super soft, has encased underwire, has an interesting U-back, and it was more full coverage than Katie, which is also a great bra, but it's more like a demi bra.

I also wanted to let you guys know that if you post a photo of yourself in an Aerie product or a picture of an Aerie product on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #aeriereal, the picture will be seen on the Aerie website! The #aeriereal campaign is all about is all about being real, unretouched, confident, and healthy!

Dear Reader, Who Are You?

I can't help but feel that I talk about myself a lot on this blog. You're probably thinking, Sara, that's allowed. It's your blog after all. Or maybe some of you are thinking that I don't talk enough about myself on this blog. I'm a shy person and in real life it takes a little while for me to open up, so maybe that translated to here.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is I want to know who you guys are!

If you feel comfortable, I would love to know:
  • how old you are
  • what your job is and/or what you aspire to be one day
  • what your favorite color is
  • the one food and/or dessert you can't live without
  • & two words that describe you

I'll go first:
  • 24
  • social media coordintator / aspire to be a published author also
  • purple
  • broccoli cheddar soup / taro root frozen yogurt
  • friendly / dreamer

So who are you?

Blogger Q&A

I was tagged by Chelsea of Chels & The City to do this blogger Q&A, so I thought it would be fun to answer some questions so that you can get to know me a little better.

ONE | If you could live any place in the world, where would it be?
I've always wanted to live in London! I've never been to England, but I have this feeling that I would love it there.

TWO | What do you miss most about being a kid?
Honestly, not having to worry about money. Or anything really. Kids have it easy.

THREE | Who or what inspires you?
Stories, photographs, and artwork. I get inspired by the words I read and the pictures I see. Ideas come to me as I read or when I'm perusing Pinterest or looking at a painting. I'm a visual person.

FOUR | Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
In a month, I'll be 25, so at 35 I hope I have a job that I love (still working at Westchester Magazine would be awesome), married to a kind, lovable, funny guy, and have two kids.

FIVE | Your 50th birthday party- who's invited?
My husband, my kids, and all my amazing friends!

SIX | What are your strengths?
I pride myself on being friendly and kind, on not judging people, and on making others feel comfortable. I'm also an awesome listener.

SEVEN | What are things you want to improve on?
Since my job is a social one -- talking to people, going to events, etc. -- I want to get better at being a social person and being outgoing. It doesn't come naturally, but I'm trying. It helps that everyone at work is so friendly and hilarious.

EIGHT | Places you've traveled to?
Obviously the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT), Pennsylvania, Boston, Albuquerque, Washington D.C., Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Niagara Falls (both sides), and the coolest of them all: Israel.

NINE | What is a routine you could never do without?
Before, I go to sleep I like to check Instagram since I find it calming and read a chapter or two of whatever book I'm currently reading.

TEN | What was an act of kindness shown towards you that caught you by surprise?
The most recent thing I can think of is that my step-mom Janet got me a Starbucks gift card for getting a job. I thought it was a really sweet little treat.

ELEVEN | List some of the best times in your life in less than one minute. ready...go! (don't cheat!) Anytime I hang out with my friends or brothers, Disney World with Jackie at twelve, Israel with Avra three years ago, Orlando with my family, playing cards with my brothers and grandparents every other week, mother-daughter days and father-daughter days, and having adventures with friends in NYC.

I tag: Jackie, MartieNaomi, Kristin, Sharon, Lix, Nikki, Elana, Lynn & Angie.

Outfit: Midi Green

This is an outfit I wore to work last week. I got this skirt from my newest addiction, Poshmark (this is not a sponsored post), and had to wear it immediately. I think this skirt is supposed to be knee-length, but with my short legs it's kind of midi length.

I've been seeing mid skirts all over, especially on Pinterest, but I wasn't sure I could pull it off because I thought it would look me look even shorter. I don't think a real midi skirt that hits mid-calf would work on me, but something just an inch or two longer than knee-length is perfect. I have to admit, it made me feel classy!
Jacket: Express | Tee: Walmart (old) | Skirt: via Poshmark
Necklace: American Eagle | Flats: Payless | Bag: Target {mini version}

Have you tried the midi skirt trend?

Looks I Love {Spring Work Wear}

Happy Monday, ladies! Now that I'm a working girl, I've been pinning work appropriate outfits to my new Job {Outfits & Info} Pinterest page. The dress code is business casual, but since it's a magazine I could probably get away with being a little more creative (ie. fun prints, brighter colors, print mixing, and maybe sometimes jeans).

Now that I (mostly) sit all day, I can wear heels, so I'm a little excited about that! I'll definitely be keeping flats in my car though for the drive there and back.

I also realized that I have one pair of black pants, so do you guys have any recommendation for not-too-expensive trousers for short girls?
