I'm leaving for Disney World tomorrow! So excited! I went once with Jackie and her dad when we were twelve and it was the best thing ever! Now I'm going with my dad, stepmom, and little sister. Unfortunately, my brothers are busy. Too bad for them!
Anyway, I thought I'd show you what I packed for my four-day trip since I've always been a pretty good packer and I figured you guys might want some tips.
1. Plan ahead
I knew I was going to need bottles less than 3 oz. for shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen and moisturizer, so I made sure I went out and got them a few days before. I also wanted a loose white t-shirt so I snatched one up cheap at Walmart.
2. Pick clothes that work together & plan outfits ahead
I made sure I picked clothes in colors that worked together (white, purple, blue, black, and a little bit of pink) that way I could mix and match without having to think much about it. I think it makes vacationing easier. I also laid out outfits on my bed to come up with ideas of what I could wear while there. It helped ensure that I brought only what I needed and nothing more.
Remember, you can always buy things you need when you get to your destination.
3. Roll don't fold
I found that rolling my clothes creates a lot more space in my bag and it means less wrinkles. In addition, put heavier things on the bottom (ie. shoes) of your bag. For a suitcase, that means you should put your shoes against the side where the wheels are. And put jewelry and small things in your shoes.
4. Wear layers & bulky things on the plane so that you don't have to pack it
I've already picked out what I'm going to wear on the flight (a simple dress, cardigan, leggings, faux Keds) that way I'm comfortable and I don't have to pack my cardigan and bulky sneakers. If you're going somewhere cold, make sure to wear as many layers as possible that way you'll have them when you land.
Or don't bring certain bulky things at all. I'm not bringing a towel with me because there are towels at the hotel.
