November Movember

During the month of November, men raise awareness for men's health, particularly prostate and testicular cancer, by growing moustaches. Hence the name Movember. The men who sport these fine moustaches are meant to be "billboards" for the cause. According to Movember.com, these men are called Mo Bros, and the women that support their decision to grow a moustache are Mo Sistas.

Us women can't grow a moustache a la Salvador Dali or Charlie Chaplin, but we can help out by getting involved, donating, or raising awareness by being a Mo Sista. If you want to show the world that you care about Movember, or maybe you just have a thing for moustaches, you can show your Movember pride by wearing something with a moustache on it.

Outfit: Loving Him Was Red

I've been listening to Taylor Swift's Red non-stop ever since it came out. It's literally on repeat on my iPod. Since I've loved T-Swift for years, I bought the limited edition Red ZinePak at Walmart that comes with the CD, 96-page magazine, a poster, four guitar picks, and a cute postcard. And it's only $15! But before I bought it, Avra lent me her CD so I could listen to all the songs. Thanks, Avra!
When I saw this dress at Delias, I knew I had to get it. Not only was it on sale from $50 to $15, but it's bright red and covered in lace. I will never get enough of the color red. And since it looks like something T-Swift would wear, I'm calling it my Taylor Swift dress.

In case you were wondering, my favorite songs off the album are State of Grace, Treacherous, I Knew You Were Trouble, All Too Well, Everything Has Changed (this one's my fave!), and The Last Time.

Did you get her CD? What music have you been listening to lately?

November Wishlist

It snowed in New York on Wednesday! Snowed! The cold weather has come on so suddenly and I was not expecting it at all. As much as I prefer the cold to hot weather, it always takes me by surprise. I go outside and I think, Was it this cold last year? Yes it was, Sara, yes it was.

Time to take out the winter coat, layer up, and hide behind a hat, scarf, and gloves.

Inspired By: Skyfall

If you read the post about which movies I want to see this month, then you know I want need to see Skyfall. It's pretty much a tradition that I see it with my dad and two younger brothers. Although I think Quantum of Solace wasn't quite up to par with other Bond movies, I think this one is going to be fantastic. It comes out tomorrow!

Daniel Craig returns as 007 in the 23rd James Bond installment, where Bond's loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past returns to haunt her, meanwhile Bond must destroy a threat to M16 in the form of cyberterrorist Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem).

James Bond

Dress as the famous British spy (played by Daniel Craig) by going for a tailored look with a velvet blazer, dark wash jeans, and flats. For a more casual look, pick a colorblocked blouse, cardigan, black jeans, and studded booties. No matter what the occasion Bond is always dressed to perfection.

Raoul Silva
Inspired By: Skyfall's Raoul Silva

Javier Bardem plays Raoul Silva, a former MI6 agent turned cyberterrorist who is out for revenge. While hunting down people, it's best to look good doing it, so opt for a blazer, baroque-inspired top, and booties. Or go for the prison look with a military-inspired dress and comfy Converse.

Eve Moneypenny
Inspired By: Skyfall's Moneypenny

Moneypenny, played by Noamie Harris, is M's secretary and has always harbored a crush on Bond. For a professional outfit, wear a red button up blouse with a red pencil skirt and maryjane heels. Or if you would rather go on an adventure, opt for a sexy gold sequin dress and ankle-strap heels.

Severine
Inspired By: Skyfall's Severine

The new Bond girl named Severine, played by Berenice Lim Marlohe, is meant to be mysterious and glamorous. Whether you wear a red dress with nude heels or a black lacey dress with black and gold heels, the most important thing is to have killer confidence.

Q
Inspired By: Skyfall's Q

Ben Whishaw plays Q, who is head of the research and development division; he gives Bond all the complicated gadgets that he uses on his missions. Even while doing research at the British Secret Service, you should always be well-dressed and professional, so stick to a striped green and black dress with loafers, or a colorful button up blouse with a cardigan and oxfords. And don't forget your mug of coffee!

What do you think? Whose style do you like most?
Will you be seeing the movie this weekend?
