Outfit: These Shades

Lately, all the outfits I take pictures of happen to feature the color blue. I promise I'm not doing it on purpose or wearing only blue in real life. I guess it's just that the outfits I like most happen to have shades of navy. What can I say? I wear colors that look good on me, and I think blue is one of those colors. What color do you wear because it looks good on you?

It's been so sunny lately that I've had to wear my prescription sunglasses while out and about. But I'm not complaining because who doesn't love sunshine and looking cool in sunnies?

Inspiration: Home Office

Let's just bask in the glow of how awesome these office spaces are with their controlled clutter, inspiration cork boards, and bright splashes of color. There's even tea cups, a typewriter, and fun trinkets. If I had a home office, I'd like to think that they would look something like the ones below because how cool are the inspiration clipboards and cute organization trays?

What do you want your home office to look like?

Inspired By: Disney Princesses Pt. 2

Let's do a happy dance because it's Part 2! If you love Disney Princesses then this is a post for you! If you missed Part 1, then catch up here.

Merida
Inspired By: Merida

Merida from Brave (yes, I know it's Pixar and Disney) is a free-spirited 16-year-old princess who longs to follow her own path and be her own person. Her parents want her to marry in order to form an alliance between clans, but she doesn't want to get married and longs for her mother to understand, so when she meets a witch who gives her a cake that will change her mother's mind she jumps at the chance. Merida may wear dresses, but she has a tomboyish style, so she reaches for tough fabrics (unless her mother is making her wear something), long sleeves, and sturdy boots.

To dress like Merida, wear shades of blue: button up top, skinny jeans, arrow bangle, and lace up boots for running through the forest. Or for meeting suitors, dress in a denim jacket, blue dress, arrow ring, and studded heeled boots.

Mulan
Inspired By: Mulan
Mulan from the movie Mulan is a courageous and determined young woman who doesn't fit in with the expectations of what a woman should be at the time. When the Huns invade Han China, the emperor commands one man from each family to join the army, but knowing that her elderly father will have to go Mulan disguises herself as a man and goes in his place. Since she pretends to be a man for most of the film, her style is tough, masculine while still colorful.

Kick ass like Mulan by wearing a mint sweater, greeen vest, black jeans, shield ring for the armor she wears, and flats for running after bad guys. Or wear a colorblocked dress, yellow cardigan, black pumps, and spike necklace.

Pocahontas
Inspired By: Pocahontas
Pocahontas from the movie Pocahontas is a spirited and forward-thinking woman who is the daughter of the Chief. When the British arrive, her father forbids her from meeting the white Englishmen, but while wandering the wilderness she meets Captain John Smith and becomes fascinated by his world. Pocahontas' style is free and bohemian, so try flowy tops and dresses, mocassins, and fringe.

Emulate Pocahontas by putting on a white and coral top, jean shorts with lace, mocassins, a blue and metal necklace, and a fringe bag. Or wear a mustard yellow dress, light blue necklace, tiger belt (because she loves all animals), and nude wedges.

Rapunzel
Inspired By: Rapunzel
Rapunzel from Tangled is an 18-year-old young woman who longs to leave her secluded tower and explore the world and whose hair has healing powers. She's naive from having lived in a tower her whole life, but is also kind and determined. Against her mother's wishes, she gets help from Flynn Rider, a thief, to take her to see the floating lanterns. Rapunzel's style is girly and full of purple, lace, and bows.

To dress like Rapunzel while out exploring the world, wear a striped shirt, purple skirt, bow belt, floral bracelets for the flowers she paints, and nude flats. Or slip on a lace and chiffon purple dress, lizard brooch since her best friend is the iguana Pascal, and nude sandals.

Snow White
Inspired By: Snow White
Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a cheerful and friendly young woman who is forced to work as a scullery maid for the Queen after her father's death. However, when the Queen asks the Magic Mirror who the fairest one of all is and discovers that it's Snow White, the Queen orders a huntsman bring her to the forest and kill her. The huntsman lets Snow White go and she flees into the forest. Snow White's look is bright and feminine; she likes primary colors, collars, and bows.

If you're running through a forest, be sure to wear a chambray top, belted yellow skirt, brown oxfords, red bow headband, and apple earrings. Or if you're about to be kissed by a prince, wear a structured blue blazer, sheer peter pan collar shirt, flowy yellow skirt, and bow heels.

Tiana
Inspired By: Tiana
Tiana from The Princess and The Frog is a smart and independent young waitress who works day and night in order to raise enough money to open her own restaurant. Meanwhile, a voodoo witch doctor has turned Prince Naveen into a frog while his valet looks like Naveen. In order to get the money she needs, Tiana agrees to kiss Naveen and break the curse, but instead is turned into a frog herself. Tiana's everyday look is practical and unfussy and she likes shades of yellow and green.

To dress like Tiana while working, put on a yellow dress, a white cardigan, brown belt, blue floral sneakers, and a spoon ring since she loves to cook. For meeting a prince, wear a pleated light green dress, floral headband, frog brooch, and yellow pumps.
