Outfit: Office Florals

Florals are an easy print for the weekend, but I love wearing it to the office as well! Large or small flowery prints on a dark background, like black or navy, is perfect for work. Matching the colors in the floral print to my shirt (or skirt or pants or shoes) makes me feel put-together and professional. I even matched my lipstick! #adulting 

My bestie's wedding is THIS WEEKEND!!! I drove down to D.C. two weeks ago for Jacquie's bachelorette party and now I'm driving down again this Friday for the rehearsal dinner and of course the big day! We've been friends for twenty years, so I'm crazy excited for her! Love ya, Jax!

Is it weird that this outfit feels VERY Hufflepuff-like? It's obviously got the yellow and black, but something about the added foresty green jacket and the loose top gives it that "just and loyal" feel. I mean, the Hufflepuff Common Room is super cozy with squishy chairs and has plants all over. Who wouldn't want to hang out there? 

Sorry I've been a bad blogger lately! This has been the busiest month of my life between my friend's bachelorette party (and wedding in two weeks!), three work events in three weeks, and meeting an amazing guy, so I'm just enjoying life right now and blogging when I have the time and motivation.

I have a new favorite pair of sneakers! Remember the gray rhinestone ones I wore two weeks back? Well, they KILLED my feet and I still have the blisters to prove it, so sadly I had to stop wearing them, but instead I got these lovely pink quilted ones from Amazon and they're SO comfy! Seriously, I never want to take them off. So if you're looking for cute sneakers, grab a pair of these.

As with every spring season, the florals are back in full swing, both in nature and on my clothes!

Outfit: Little Teacups

How perfect is this teacup print dress for a tea party?! I wore this outfit to my friend Jacquie's tea party-themed bridal shower last weekend. We all wore cute hats and drank tea (peach and mango and guava!) and ate little sandwiches. And of course played the How Well Does the Bride Know the Groom Game and made wedding dresses out of toilet paper because no bridal shower is complete without that.

If you're looking for all-natural vegan make up that's inexpensive I would 100% recommend Glory Boon! All of the products are made in Connecticut by my friend Alexandra and they're all fantastic. The colors are pigmented and vibrant and well-made. I recently got the mineral lipstick in Heather and the Mermaid Lagoon highlighter, and she very kindly sent me the Beach Bum lip tint too. I am obsessed with the highlighter especially! It's so gorgeous!

Outfit: Floral Silk Jacket

I've been wanting one of these silk jackets for a year now and finally found my perfect one: this dark floral number from Kohls (that sadly doesn't seem to be online)! It was the last one at my local Kohls, so clearly it was meant to be! It's an easy-to-throw-on extra layer for these chilly spring mornings and will be handy on cool summer nights. 

I got my first gel manicure with my friend Avra last week and now I know what the obsession is all about! Instantly dry, no messing up your perfect manicure two seconds after getting it, no chipping! If it wasn't so expensive, I would get a new color every two weeks. Plus, I love this holographic blue color I got. Talk about heart eyes!

Outfit: Gems & Genre-Hopping

I have a dilemma: I LOVE these gem-covered sneakers, but they gave me horrible blisters. BUT they're so cute! I added blister cushions (courtesy of my dad, a podiatrist) to the back of the shoe and folded them over the back, but they still hurt a bit. Ugh, the back of the shoe is sadly too stiff, so I got these from Amazon and I'm half-tempted to add the gems to them. Should I do it?

Bookish confession: I'm a genre-hopper! I love jumping from fantasy to romance to sci-fi to murder mystery to historical to graphic novels! Maybe I just like all kinds of stories. Or maybe I'm just easily bored. Who knows? The only genres I don't read are high fantasy because I have little patience for it and horror because I'm a scaredy cat. 🙀🙈
