Review: And She Blushes Candles + Giveaway

**I received these candles for free. All opinions are my own**

There are a few things that I have in abundance at my home: books, mugs, cute owl-shaped things, and candles. My mom is a hoarder of candles and of course I am too. When Kristina, the owner of And She Blushes, asked if I wanted to review some mini candles and wax melts I said yes.

When I opened the box from Kristina, this sweet, delicious scent drifted into my room. I barely waited five minutes before I had lit one of the candles called Birthday Party. This candle is so adorable; it has colorful sprinkles lining the glass and smells like a super sweet cupcake. The other votive candle I got is a cute blue and white candle called Blueberry Cobbler with "blueberries" on top. It has a subtle sweet scent and kind of smells like Pez to me, which I love because I love Pez.

She also gave me three wax melts, which I have yet to use because I don't have a wax melt warmer, but now I want one (maybe this one). The three wax melts she gave me are Cucumber Melon (strong melon scent, smells fresh and tropical), Watermelon Lemonade (subtle scent, smells like delicious sorbet), and Cherry Cheesecake (super sweet cherry scent).

All of the items she sent me smell great, are well made, look really cute, and are handmade by Kristina. All of her items are made with high-quality natural soy wax and are hand-poured. She's also constantly coming up with new candle scents, so you can sign up to try her new scents before anyone else.

Kristina and Rachael (of Simply Chic Jewelry) are having a loop giveaway on Instagram tonight starting at 6pm Central Time. Kristina is giving away a Georgia Peach wax set and Rachael is giving away a peach druzy necklace, so go enter to win here!

Enter to win a set of wax melts -- you get to choose which scent you want!

Outfit: Floral Celebration

My friend Avra's birthday was yesterday and we (Avra, Sunny, Jennifer, and I) celebrated her 25th birthday last Friday with Greek food, shopping, and a pitcher of rosé sangria. You know your good friends with people when you can talk about the weirdest stuff and not bat an eyelash. These girls are so funny and had me laughing until I cried. Funnily enough, we all wore florals by accident (here's the proof).

On Instagram, I mentioned this Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Jelly Donut. It was one of the items on my birthday wishlist, so while I was over at Sephora getting my free VIB beauty present I walked over to the Too Faced section and fell in love with this color. This liquid lipstick is fantastic because of the easy-to-apply cushioned applicator, it's super pigmented, and you can put it without a mirror if you have to. The downside is that it comes off easily. It claims to be long-wearing, but that's only if you don't eat anything while wearing it. Despite that though I still like this lipstick a lot.

P.S. -- I'm super happy to say that this is the first time I took outfit pictures that were not somewhere in my apartment complex or at my dad's house! Go me!

What have you done lately that made you proud of yourself?

My Beauty Favorites

I love seeing other people's beauty favorites because I like knowing that other people enjoy using the same products that I do (its like some sort of weird validation) and I always find products that I want to try.

Most of these beauty favorites I've been using for years (like the Wet n' Wild eye shadow, the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, and the Cover Girl blush), while others are new favorites (like the Too Faced Melted lipstick, the Stila eyeliner, and the Simple Micellar Water).

LIPS
Revlon Just Bitten Stain in Cherish, Maybelline Color Whisper in Pink Possibilities,

As you can see, I'm a sucker for pink and purple lipstick. I never have enough and the proof is that I just picked up the Too Faced Melted Lipstick last week as a birthday present to myself. I generally wear the bright pinks and light purples in the summer and the berry pinks during the winter. If I had to pick my absolute favorite lipstick of the bunch it would be the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Cherish because it's so easy to apply and stays put for hours.

EYES

I'm a nude eyeshadow girl. I have three nude shadow palettes, but I'm thinking about getting the new Urban Decay palette (anyone else?). My favorite eyeliners are the Stila waterproof ones, especially the color Lionfish, a beautiful bronze color. These liners do not budge ever. I'm also obsessed with this Chella highlighter because it's the only one I own that doesn't have shimmer, so it's great for under my eyes. The Benefit They're Real mascara is amazing.

FACE

I have super oily skin, so I need products that won't make my skin oiler and I've found these skincare items keep the oil at bay a bit. I like the Clean & Clear Morning Burst moisturizer because it's a gel and my new favorite cleanser / makeup remover is Simple's Micellar Water, which makes my skin feel refreshed and clean. I love blush and have a bunch from my Ipsy bags, but my two favorites are from Cover Girl and City Color.

What are your favorite beauty products?
Any recommendations?

Inspiration: Summer Beauty

I got myself a curling wand in December and haven't used it all that often, so I would love to get better at curling my hair. C'mon, don't these women look amazing with their perfectly curled waves. Obviously mine won't be as good, but I like the idea of curling my hair a bit and then pinning the front back.

I also want to have more fun with my nails. I've been painting them one boring shade for too long. I love the two nail ideas in the picture below as well as this fun watermelon nail idea.

Inspired By: iZombie

Raise your hand if you've seen iZombie! When I saw the commercials before it aired, I wasn't sure I would like it. I kind of came off as stupid and ridiculous, but I'm happy to say that this show is a blast; it's smart, fun, cheeky, and just a tad bloody.

It's based on a comic book series that I've never read, but now I really want to. The show follows Olivia, or Liv, who was a medical student and had a fiance, but then she attends a boat party where she gets bitten and turned into a zombie. When she eats the brains of someone, she gets the memories and personality of that person, so she helps solves murders.

Liv
Liv -- iZombie
When Liv (Rose McIver) realized she had become a zombie, she left medical school and dumped her fiance (in order to protect him) and became a coroner's assistant, so that she could get easy access to brains. She's smart, cheeky, and cynical. She gets the memories of the murder victim's brains, so she helps solves crimes.

Liv tends to wear a lot of gray, purple, and red, so for a casual look wear a gray cardigan, a purple printed tank top, jeans, white drop earrings, and red bow flats. Or for work, put on a faux-leather sleeve gray dress, red stud earrings, and black ankle booties.

Ravi
Ravi -- iZombie
Dr. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is a coroner and Liv's boss. He's clever, friendly, trustworthy, and loyal, which is why he's the only one of Liv's friends that is on the secret.

Wear something fun by putting on a scissor-printed tee, plaid and lace skirt, and black loafers. Or throw on something casual: a gray sweater, a crystal necklace, jean shorts, and blue Converse.

Clive
Clive -- iZombie
Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) is a tough, intelligent, and street-smart cop, who starts working with Liv because she seems to "know" things about the murder victims, so he assumes that she's a psychic.

Clive always looks professional and cool, so wear a blue belted dress, a white necklace, blue stud earrings, and black wedges. Or put on a brown jacket, a window-pane print blouse, black jeans, a shield ring, and T-strap bow flats.

Major / Peyton
Major & Peyton -- iZombie
Major (Robert Buckley) is Liv's ex-fiance and a social worker, who starts to see that weird things are happening and gets in too deep. Peyton (Aly Michalka) is Liv's best friend and roommate and she's a lawyer.

Going to a party? Dress up like Major and Peyton by wearing a black blazer, light blue blouse, distressed jeans, nude flats. Or throw on a cobalt blue dress, sparkly necklace, rose gold heart-shaped ring, and black pumps.

Have you seen iZombie?
