Life Lately: A Very Merry Unbirthday To You

Last Thursday, I went with Avra and Jackie to Alice's Tea Cup on the Upper East Side to celebrate my birthday. More specifically, we went to the one called Chapter II on 64th and Lexington. If you've never heard of it it's a cute set of restaurants (there are three in the city) based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

The one that we went to has blue and yellow walls with butterfly wings (the ones you wear on your back) stuck to the ceiling. There are quotes from the books written on the walls and pictures of Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the White Rabbit hanging up. And some of the tables are actually old sewing machines. Of course, there is a large selection of teas that you can choose from, unique but tasty food, delicous scones, and if you're a little girl they sprinkle fairy dust on you when you walk in.

On every table there are cute tea cups!

A quote on the wall

" 'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
'You must be,' said the Cat, 'Or you wouldn't have come here.'
Alice didn't think that proved it at all..."

When you order tea you get your very own tea pot! How amazing is that?!
I ordered Passion Fruit, Jackie got Red Fruits, and Avra tried Peach Tea with Flowers.

Blue walls and colorful wings upstairs

I've been to Alice's Tea Cup numerous times already, but no matter how many times I go it's always a great experience and I always try a new tea. If any of you guys are in the city I would definitely recommend a visit!
