MINI REVIEWS

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara

I was a little hesitant to try this mascara at first because the wand is big, the bristles are bunched together (when I wear mascara I usually like the plastic, spaced out bristles), and the wand is in an hourglass shape. It was weird to use at the beginning, but after a few days I got the hang of it. It made my lashes look really thick and long. It's not supposed to clump and it doesn't if you do one coat, but if you go over it more than once it will clump a little. Not too badly though. I would recommend it if you're looking to try a new mascara.

Kiss Everlasting French Nails

I haven't tried this because I never wear press-on nails. If I did, I would probably pick these because they look natural because they're not super long, and they seem easy to put on.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance

TMI: I don't wear tampons. I know, I know, I should. Anyway, now that summer is here, this Sport Fresh Balance tampons will be useful though when you want to go swimming or ride a bike or whatever when it's that time of month. They have FlexFit interlocking fibers that help track leaks, OdorShield technology, a contoured applicator for comfort, and are lightly scented.

NIVEA Skin Firming Hydration Lotion

This skin firming lotion has a pleasant subtle scent. What I like most is that it's not greasy and it dries quickly on the skin, which is good for when you have to run out the door. Apparently, it's supposed to help firm your skin in two weeks because of the Co-Enzyme Q10 Complex and Hydrea IQ. Well, I'm not really sure what those are, but I'll take firmer skin. I would recommend this moisturizer.

Peach Pie Car Freshener from the Labor Day movie

Um, yuck. For some reason, I was the only one in my family who thought this smelled disgusting. This car freshener has a sickly sweet scent that I found overpowering and gross. It's not pictured because my mom put it in her car, which is fine with me. Maybe it's a good thing you can't buy this.

Have you tried any of these products?

  1. I've recently chosen to read instead of watch TV, which is why I have so many books in my wrap-up! If you haven't read Open Road Summer, I'd add that to your reading list :) Two books in one month is still awesome, it's been very rare for me to find someone reading even one book in one year!

I also really like that your review is totally honest. I hate when people just say they love everrrrything!

  7. Thank you so much! I want my reviews to be honest because I would hate for someone to get something and then totally hate it because I said I liked it when I didn't! :)

  15. OMG! those are the press-on nails i wore for my wedding...lol! I hate going to a nail salon because when I go and get fake nails there the darn nails take forever to fall off (plus its so expensive... yes I was even cheap for my wedding haha). so I thought I'd buy these and I loved them! they lasted a week I think before one started to come off... they are great though and no one even knew they were press-on nails until I told them :)

Nivea is my FAVORITE lotion, I always use it after I clean the house and my hands always feel so soft! I have tried the scandaleyes mascara (but it was in an orange tube) and I absolutely hated it. too clumpy and the brush was way too big!

    Great post Sara! :)

  16. Ohh that mascara sounds great! And it totally grosses me out that the tampons are scented! I don't want to but perfume up there, I feel like that would cause feminine issues lol.
