**I received this product from Lipton Publicity for free to review. All opinions are my own.**
I was really excited to receive this product: Emjoi's EpiSlim+. Although I don't mind shaving my legs, I've always hated shaving my underarms. TMI, but does anyone else get itchy pits a few days after shaving? Anyway, who wouldn't want to try something that claims it can get rid of hair fast and keep it away for longer than two days, and have minimal discomfort?
Let's start with what I like about this product: it's small and easy to handle, the sky blue is pretty, it has a clear cover that's easy to take off and put on, and it's simple to use (turn it on and then press against your skin to remove hair).
And now what I didn't like: unfortunately, the EpiSlim+ is a bit painful to use. Granted, tweezing your eyebrows or waxing your bikini line is also uncomfortable, but the EpiSlim has 3-disc rotating tweezers that you press against your skin to pull the hair out, so it's like super fast tweezers. What I found is that pressing lightly hurts more than when you hold it firmly against the skin. It does remove the hair fairly easily, though afterward it's red and a little sore.
If you don't mind some mild pain, Emjoi's EpiSlim+ is $35 and perfect for travel. I personally don't think I would use it for my whole leg or underarms, but I would use it for between my eyebrows or upper lip; something that is quick and doesn't have much hair.

Too bad it hurts :( I don't think I'd want to use it on a sensitive part like under arms if it hurts, I'll stick to shaving. p.s. I have those exact same pair of sock slippers!
ReplyDeleteI've never actually heard of these. They are pretty interesting. And yes, I totally get the itchy pits after a few days, sometimes I get it on my bikini line too. Super frustrating! I definitely don't think I would want to try this on my bikini area but like you said it would probably be great to the brow area. Great honest review!
ReplyDeleteWhat a weird device! I think I'd be too afraid to try it out and end up gouging my skin
ReplyDeleteI feel like I wouldn't want to use that on my bikini line, but for the between the brows, it might be nice! I slack a lot on shaving, unless I'm going to the beach haha!
ReplyDeletei like using epilator when dont get time to wax

I've never even heard of it. Although, I've never minded shaving. I use the Venus Sensitive razors.

I've always been curious about them, so I'm glad to hear an honest review! I think I'll stick to shaving or waxing.... I do like the color of the EpiSlim, though!
ReplyDeleteI try to be as honest as possible! I'll stick to shaving too!
ReplyDeleteYep, I think I'll stick to shaving!
ReplyDeleteThat's good that you use them!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be too painful for the bikini line!
ReplyDeleteI was kind of afraid of that too at first, but it's not too horrible haha!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think it's too painful for the bikini line! Ouch!
