Unique Gifts For The Holidays (With Jord)

It's crazy to me how the holidays are almost here! Hanaukkah just over two weeks away and Christmas just over a month away. I'm sure like me, you have a lot of people to give gifts to who vary in age and who all have different interests. It would be SO nice to just walk into one store, pick out the same gift for everyone and have every single person be happy, but that's never going to happen.

Below I've collected unique and fun gifts that work for many different people.
For Everyone: The one gift that almost every single person on your list would appreciate: a Jord watch. I've raved about this company before and I truly love their products. I even bought one for my dad for his 60th birthday in August. They have several different styles for both men and women and various natural wood colors. And they're so classic and timeless.
For The Candle Obsessed: These small Form & Flux candles that come in every cool scent you can imagine from dusty bookshelf to Nocturn Alley to chocolate tart.

For The Reader: If you know someone who loves reading, whether it's a nephew, a friend, or your grandma, there's a unique book for them in My Bookmark's shop. I have the Alice in Wonderland one, but the mermaid tail is too cute.

For The Unique Sock Collector: I feel like there's always one person in every family who collects weird socks. If that's the case for you, then look no further than Out of Print with their book-inspired socks.

For The Fandom Lover: If you know someone who talks about their fandom incessantly, then it's time to get them a Funko Pop or a Dorbz of their favorite character.

For The Artist (Or The Perpetually Stressed): Get them The Mindfulness Coloring Book stat. Adult coloring books are so calming and make you feel accomplished something when you've finished coloring a page.

For Your PenPal: If you have a penpal, you can get them a Three Potato Four penpal key tags to tell them you're thinking of them even when you're not writing to them.
For The Person Who Loves Scents But Not Candles: If you know someone who prefers wax melts rather than candles, then check out Live Love Wax Co, who creates beautifully-smelling melts, like blueberry cobbler, caramel apple, and pumpkin cider birthday cake. (I got this wax melter at CVS, but there are great ones on Amazon.)

**I received two Jord watches for free. All opinions are my own.**

What gift are you hoping to get this year?

P.S. -- There's no post tomorrow because it's been a busy week.

So this gift guide is for the electrical enginner in your life, or computer geek who likes to take things apart and put them back together. A fun tie, cute jewelry, an iPhone case that looks like a curcuit board, and a t-shirt that's exploding.

Happy Birthday, Jackie! + Gifts for Crazy Cat Ladies

This post is dedicated to my most bestest friend in the entire world -- JACKIE!

Jackie, I'm so glad I met you in the third grade!
Can you believe we've known each other for 15 years now?!
I consider you family; you're my sister from another mister.
You're an amazing person and friend,
you see the world in a unique way,
you're smart and kind and a friend to all animals,
you're a make up and nail polish expert,
and you're the only person in the world
that I can be silly and dumb with
and not be embarrassed about it.

We have so many inside jokes
(the store, the brick we painted with white out, Jerome and Thomas, etc.)
and so many things that we did together growing up
(roaming the school, walking to my apartment every Monday, dances, prom, etc.)
and I will never, ever forget them.
And I know that during the next 15, 30, 45 & 60+ years of our friendship
we'll make even more inside jokes and memories.

I love you!
HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY, JACKIE!

♥♥♥

Jackie is a crazy cat lady, and I mean that in the best way possible. She loves all animals, but cats are her cute and cuddly weakness. If you know someone who adores cats, or if you love them, then this is the perfect gift guide for you. Whether the cat-lover you know likes jewelry or clothes or hair bows or a plushy cat, there's always something out there for a crazy cat lady, or crazy cat mister, to enjoy.

Happy Birthday, Ben + Gifts for Math Geeks

Today is my brother Ben's 22nd birthday!
Happy birthday, little brother! Man, have you grown so much. I remember when I was taller than you, when people used to think that we were twins, when you used to do an impression of a goat on a mountain, when we could trick people into thinking one of us was the other on the phone, and when we used to complain about our parents together (and still do).
And now you're turning into a dapper young man with some serious math skillz and a big heart.
I'm so glad I wasn't an only child because life without you (and Leo) would have been super boring!
♥ ♥ ♥
In honor of my brother's birthday, I'm doing a gift guide for math geeks because Ben's on his way to becoming the best accountant in the world (and no, I'm not exaggerating).

There's tons of math geek stuff out there, so whether you're buying for a girl or a guy, for a math teacher, accountant, or physicist, you'll always be able to find something. For the proud mathmatician, there's an iPhone case and pins; for the partier, there a pi ice cube tray; for the girly girl, there's jewlery, and for the I-can't-work-without-coffee math geek, there's an equation-covered mug.
Have a great weekend!

Gifts for History Geeks

History is of course very long, so one person's favorite period may be another's least favorite, but I think they can all agree that history is important. When getting a gift for a history buff start wirh their favorite time period (Middle Ages) or country (Chinese history) or war (WWII) and narrow it down from there.

Gifts for Science Geeks

If you know a science geek, then you might think it's hard to find something for one of them, but I think it's actually rather easy. Firstly, what kind of science geek are they? Astrogeek? Envirogeek? Dinogeek? Or totally cool lab coat-wearing scientist? Then all you have to figure out is whether they would want something useful, funny, or just plain awesome.

Gifts for Literary Geeks

Books can be tough to buy for someone because you never really know if someone will take to a book in the same way that you did. One person's favorite taped-together-from-reading-it-too-many-times book is another person's crooked table fixer.

So what do you give someone who is a self-proclaimed literary geek besides books? Anything book-related is perfect really. Or the fail-proof giftcard to a bookstore, but I think that's cheating. I've compiled a list of gifts that any lit geek would love to receive.

I'm a lit geek, too. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
