Outfit: Book Clutch

I've been wanting a book clutch FOREVER! And then I came across Book Vosk's Kickstarter campaign a few months ago. Sadly the Kickstarter wasn't fully funded, but they put their incredible book clutches on Etsy at their Kickstarter price ($95) and I just had to get one! Yes, these bags are pricier than anything I normally buy (the regular price is now $105), but they're so well-made and gorgeous. Just LOOK at this Wizard of Oz clutch! The art by Gabriela Regina is pretty, the magnets are super strong, the red tassel is surprisingly soft, and it's just all around perfection.

Since I knew I was going to be working hard on the first draft of my novel in November, I got this book clutch as a reward for myself, and it arrived at the beginning of December. Perfect timing! Have you ever wanted a book clutch? What book do you want? I would also love a Pride and Prejudice one.

Also, how cute is this hat?!

Outfit: Winter Pink

Who says you can't wear bright pink and florals in winter? Yes, technically it's not winter yet, but it sure as hell feels like it. I like how these pictures came out, but damn was it cold. It's probably a good thing my ears were covered by my hair because they were as pink as my jacket haha!

I'm so glad I found this skirt at Wet Seal for $10 because I'm a sucker for dark florals. Wet Seal isn't a place I usually shop at (the word cheap comes to mind), but sometimes they do have some hidden gems. Is there a store you don't usually shop at where you've found a great item?

Outfit: Nerdy Hufflepuff

How freaking cute is this Newt Scamander scarf?! (Thanks to Kat from Not The Path to Narnia for telling me where she got it!) I'm so obsessed with Newt right now and here's why: he's compassionate, kind, awkward, introverted, adventurous, empathetic, and notices small details that others tend not to. Honestly, he's the kind of hero the Wizarding World and our world needs right now. I loved this fascinating article about Newt, toxic masculinity, and Hufflepuff heroes.

Also, this article about the 21 Harry Potter references in Fantastic Beasts you missed is so fun! How many did you spot?

I've had this nerdy fox sweater for years now and yet I don't think I've ever worn it on the blog, so I thought it would be cute to pair with this scarf since I'm a nerdy Hufflepuff! What's your Hogwarts House? Do you know your Ilvermorny House? I'm a Thunderbird.

Outfit: Fall Plaid & Five Year Blogiversary Giveaway!

Happy five year blogiversary to this little slice of the internet! *throws confetti* I honestly can't believe I've been blogging for FIVE YEARS! How is that possible?! When I started I was in my first semester of graduate school for creative writing and now I'm a working girl who has just finished my second first draft a novel! This little hobby has become such a big part of my life. I love writing posts and taking pictures for Sincerely, Sara, but best of all I love connecting with other people from all over the world (AKA you guys!) who also love books and fashion! THANK YOU guys for reading my blog and being my friends!

Since I love sharing bookish stuff I think you all would like, I wanted to introduce you to Nerdy Post. I've been getting the subscription box for a few months now and it's wonderful. It's a sub box where you get 5-7 original fandom-inspired, hand-lettered goodies — a print, a sticker, a bookmark, a pin, a magnetic, or a notebook. Each month is somewhat different, but the items are always fantastic. This month's was classic romance and I LOVE the pin of stacked books!

Outfit: Blush It Up

I've been wanting an olive blazer for a while now, but never really sought to find one, and then I was out shopping with my best buds spotted this comfy jacket. Totally clothing fate! That's a thing, right? And you know what olive goes well with? Pantone's Color of the Year: Rose Quartz!

If you're looking for an inexpensive olive blazer, here are some options for you: this ruched sleeve one, this open-front one, this drapey one, this collarless, cropped one, and this crochet-trim one

Since November is almost over, here are things I'm looking forward to come December:

  • Not writing every single day. I love writing, but doing it every day for NaNoWriMo is a lot for me. Though I guess I shouldn't hate on it since it's gotten me this far! I'm currently at 40,000 words! *screams in disbelief*
  • Editing! Can you believe it? I hardly can. I usually hate editing, but I'm looking forward to printing out this book, cutting unnecessary words, and adding some more depth to it.
  • Having more time to read! I've hardly read anything this month. I've only completed one book so far this book. Very depressing.
  • Having time to be a lazy ass and binge-watch shows on Netflix! Duh.
  • Shopping for fun gifts for my friends and family and getting into the holiday spirit.
  • Star Wars: Rogue One. 'Nuff said.

Outfit: Professional Pajamas

What's better than cute professional pants? Pants that are so comfortable they feel like wearing pajamas! I seriously love these Old Navy leggings and wish I could wear them every day, but people might start to notice. I'm thinking about getting them in black too because they're really thick, so they'll be great for winter. P.S. -- They're only $15-18, depending on the color.

So now that all of the new fall shows have premiered, which of them have you been watching? Besides all of the shows I already watch, the only two new ones that I've been tuning into consistently are Timeless and Designated Survivor. Timeless follows three people who travel through time to stop a guy who's messing with history. It's kind of ridiculous, but it's so fun to watch. Designated Survivor is what happens when pretty much everyone important in the U.S. government dies except for one person. It's dramatic, you never know which characters to trust, and Keifer Sutherland is amazing. Which shows are you watching?
