At the beginning of April, I had a job interview for a well-known, local magazine, and this is what I wore. I wanted to look professional (hence the blazer and heels), but fun and memorable, so I wore a navy skirt with giant colorful flowers. I felt comfortable and professional, which is what everyone should aim for when putting together an outfit for an interview.
In order to prepare for the interview, I printed out extra copies of my resume and wrote down questions to ask during the interview. It's always good to have questions to ask because it shows you're interested in the job, so if you have one coming up be sure to write some down ahead of time.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty and feminine look for an interview! It's professional but you can still see your personality. I always like to add a blazer for interviews, as well as some great shoes.
ReplyDeleteI hope the interview went well! You look professional yet creative!

ReplyDeleteUmmm gorgeous, girl! Love this floral skirt on you and does it help that I'd hire you?! ;)
ReplyDeleteWell you must have gotten the job then! You look great! Definitely fun and memorable; I love the floral skirt and the overall classic feel with the navy blazer and those adorable + comfortable brown heels.
ReplyDeleteI once wore a cobalt blue floral top with gray slacks and low cobalt blue heels to a job interview. Definitely memorable. I got the job. Also, I wore a polka dot blouse with a pleated red vintage skirt and low beige heels to my last job interview-- also got the job. Not that I have my outfits to thank for that, but in this tough, tough job market, you wanna be memorable in every way possible, as you hinted at here.
Loved this post, Sara! <3
