Review: Create Luv Ring

If you saw all the jewelry in my room, you'd see that I'm a bit of a ring hoarder. I'm always looking for new pretty pieces to add to my collection and this beautiful Luv Calm Ring is a new favorite. Let's talk about the reasons why: It's purple (you all know how much I love anything purple), the stone is amethyst, it's made of 14k gold vermeil, it's adjustable, and purchases at Luv help do good.

Luv connects artists from all over the world, consumers, and charities in order to help support causes. With every purchase, Luv donates 50% of the profits to a charity of the buyer's choice (UNICEF, War Child, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, Feed the Children, or Save the Children). So not only do you get a unique item, whether it's a ring or a candle or tea or a clutch, but your money goes to a great charity. Win-win!

Outfit: Casual Glam

I was never the kind of person who got really into the holidays, but the past two years I've found it infectious. The lights, the singing, the family togetherness, the warm fuzzy feeling it creates. For me, it's not about the actual holiday (since I'm Jewish), but I really like that it represents all of those happy things.

So I kind of like that this outfit has a casual holidays vibe.

To add to that holidays look, I of course had to put on some sparkle! This bracelet from Cait Johnson's Chloe & Isabel shop drew me in due to it's timeless and glamourous feel. It looks like something famous actresses wore on the red carpet in the 1930s. It catches the light so nicely! If you're looking for feminine and classic meets modern jewelry, I would recommend her shop.

Sponsor Spotlight: Simply Chic Jewelry

Have you ever come across a shop on Etsy and felt like the pieces were made for you? For me, one of those shops is Simply Chic Jewelry! I'm seriously in love with every piece of jewelry being sold in Rachael's shop. I've always liked simple, classic, minimalist but colorful jewelry, and Simply Chic Jewelry fits the bill.

The best part is Rachael makes all of the jewelry by hand and is always coming up with cool, fresh ideas (like these gemstone rings and these thin stacked rings). Because it's all handcrafted she has no problem customizing the jewelry. I was able to get this beautiful druzy ring with a cobalt stone and silver wire instead of the gold it showed online. If you're a fan of elegant jewelry, I would recommend this shop.

Rocksbox Jewelry

This is my final Rocksbox Jewelry box! (See Rocksbox #1 and Rocksbox #2.) If you haven't heard of Rocksbox, it's a subscription box where you take a quiz so Rocksbox knows your jewelry taste and sends you jewelry to rent for $19. You're sent designer jewelry that you can keep for as long as you like. When you want to try something new, you simply send it all back and get three new pieces to wear. If there's anything that you want to keep forever, you can buy it at a discounted price.

I've really enjoyed getting to try new every month and I would continue with it, but the jewelry is generally over my price range. Use code "moptopxoxo" to get your first box free!

Slate's Beyond the Horizon Necklace
This necklace is really cool and fun, but it's not really my style. It's a bit heavy and I know I wouldn't get much wear out of it. The Insiders' Price is $44 (regular $56).

Urban Gem's Pave Peekaboo Stud Earrings
I was so excited to get these because I put them on my wishlist. Sadly, they're really heavy and the back of the earrings don't stay put very well, so I'd be constantly afraid of them falling off. The Insiders' Price is $40 (regular is $50).

Perry Street's Brianna Bracelet
How cute and delicate is this bracelet? I really like the soft, muted spring colors. I actually decided to keep this bracelet because I've been liking bangle bracelets lately. The Insiders' Price is $35 (regular price $45), but with my Rocksbox Spend of $10 it was $25.

Outfit: Simple Elegance with Sparkle Box

**I received one Sparkle Box for review. All opinions are my own.**

One of the reasons I love Ipsy is the thrill of seeing that pink metallic mailer every month and ripping it open to see what products I've received. If you're more a jewelry girl than a beauty girl then you're in luck -- Sparkle Box is a jewelry subscription service that sends you 2-3 pieces of jewelry every month for $19 that's yours to keep.

My favorite thing about Sparkle Box (besides getting beautiful jewelry in the mail!) is that there are various styles to choose from: Boho Beauty, Quirky/Handmade, On Trend, Subtle Style, Avant Garde, Surprise Me, and Sparkle Girl for ages 10-16. Whatever your preferred jewelry style, there's a box for it.

I chose Subtle Style since I like simple and elegant pieces and I was not disappointed. I got a gold double chain chevron-like necklace and gold hammered earrings. These pieces are lovely and classic and perfect for both parties and every day. So if you want sparkle send to your door check out Sparkle Box.

Get 10% off your first box with code SARASPARKLE10!

Necklace & Earrings: ℅ Sparkle Box | Cardigan: Urban Outfitters (old)

Rocksbox Jewelry

**I was given three months of Rocksbox for free. All opinions are my own.**

Pretty jewelry customized for you and sent straight to your doorstep? Count me in! If you haven't heard of Rocksbox, it's a subscription box where you take a quiz so Rocksbox knows your jewelry taste and sends you jewelry to rent for $19. You're sent designer jewelry that you can keep for as long as you like. When you want to try something new, you simply send it all back and get three new pieces to wear. Perry Street's Daisy Crystal Earrings
Aren't these earrings so elegant and classy? They sparkle in the sun and are the perfect length. They're pretty, but I probably wouldn't wear them very often. They original price is $50 and the Insiders' Price is $40.

Wanderlust + Co's Box-Pave Silver Cuff
I'm picky about my cuffs. I want them to be loose, but not so loose that they fall halfway down my hand like these do. I'm also not a fan of the crystaled square at one end. It's not really my style. Original price is $62 and Insiders' Price is $49.

Urban Gem's Victoria Necklace
I LOVE this! I feel like I've been on the hunt for a crystal necklace like this for ages and they're always too big, too heavy, or too short, but this one is perfect. It's so pretty and lightweight and it goes with everything. The original price is $64 and the Insiders' Price is $51, but I'm so tempted to keep it. What do you think?

P.S. -- Marissa (formerly of The Modern Austen) is starting a new blog!

Urban Gem's Crystal Lever Earrings
These earrings are gorgeous and glamorous! They sparkle and catch the light so beautifully and they don't feel heavy at all. I've been debating whether or not I should keep them, but even at the $48 Insiders' Price (regular $60) they're a bit over my budget.

House of Harlow 1960 Thin Arrow Bangle
I like bangles, but I don't wear them regularly because they can be annoying when typing all day. This House of Harlow 1960 bangle is lovely and textured and goes with everything. It's $54 regular and $43 Insiders' Price. It's pretty, but I wouldn't get much wear out of it.

Perry Street's Adrianna Necklace
This necklace is so pretty and sparkly! It pairs very well with the Urban Gem earrings and makes me wish I had somewhere fancy to go. Normally I love long necklaces, but I wish it was shorter, but there's only one clasp. It's $64 regular and $51 Insiders' Price.
