Outfit: I Got The Job!

Last Thursday I went in for a follow up interview (I took these pictures right after) and was surprised when she offered me the job! Of course I immediately said yes! A little background info: after my first interview I had to do a test and I spent nine hours on it, so I was happy that during my second interview she said she liked what I did and that I wrote well.

So you're now looking at the new social media coordinator at Westchester Magazine! Yay!

If I blog a little sporadically or I'm not commenting on your blogs as frequently it's because I'm getting used to my new job. I'm going to try and continue blogging five times a week, but don't be surprised if I take a day or two off now and then. Thanks for understanding guys!

  20. Thank you, Elana! Now that you're looking for a job, try everything and contact everyone! I wasn't going to go to the job fair, but I thought I might as well, so you never know how you'll find something. If you're not on LinkedIn, definitely join because they also send emails for job opportunities. Ask family and friends if they know people who are looking to hire. Go to events at your school. Seriously, try everything!! Good luck!

  22. Wow, congrats! Sounds like this will be a fun job! Did you mention your blog as part of your social media experience? I always worry about employers finding out about my blog even though what I blog about often relates to my job.

  23. Thnaks!! Yes, I needed to show that I know about social media and the only thing I've done social media for is my blog. She even told me that it's one of the reasons I got the job! I think it's okay to mention your blog. If you think of it as a professional tool then they will too. So I put it on LinkedIn as experience and it's on my resume.

  24. Congratulations! That's so awesome. And I love your shoes. I always find the cutest shoes at Payless. And blogging five days a week is a lot! Especially with a new job. We'll all understand if you blog less.
