As a New Yorker, it still amazes me and makes me laugh a little how easily New Yorkers meader around each other so easily. Seriously, next time you go to the Big Apple just stop and watch. People here walk rush around each other without a thought. I know that I have this skill -- it's like I can anticipate what others are going to do (except for non-New Yorkers! What are they doing?!) -- but it still makes me laugh.
And I love how we barely bat an eye at weird stuff. I was walking to the M96 bus and saw a man digging in the trash. And I was like, eh, whatever, I hope he finds something good.
Sorry for the awkward bathroom shots. I got home on Thursday at 9:30 at night, so it was too dark to take pictures outside.

Deletethe jacket looks awesome on you! And I totally understand about non-new yorkers...what ARE they doing?? I hate them in grand central, when i'm rushing around to catch a train and they are all looking at the ceiling and taking photos of each other. really?! its a train station! for trains!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! Exactly! If they're going to take pictures fine, but don't do it in the middle where everyone's walking!
Deletehahah as a slow walker myself i believe that there is a beauty in takin time to enjoy what's around you and see things for what they really are, life is so much more detailed that way, if you're in a rush but that whole new yorker stuff is so silly, thats why people aren't very nice to each other down in the city, and grand central is one of the most beautiful train stations in all of the world, its like you can't even imagine its grandeur and to think people only really fawn over the main part when so much of it lies beneath the ground and upstairs and i bet there are so many other secret areas!! cute outfit my dear! I'm also sorry we couldn't get together, i was home for such a short time :( but we have the whole summer and the rest of life for now? hahahahahha love yaaaa xoxox lovely post!!
ReplyDeleteNo, I definitely agree! I love when I can take the time to slow down and admire the beauty of NYC -- there really is so much to see and I think you can live there you're whole life and still not see every part of it. I love Grand Central! We should visit it and take a good look around when we're not rushing somewhere! That's okay. You were only home for a little bit and it's Passover so you have to spend time with your family. You'll be home soon enough and we can spend all of summer together!!!! love ya! xoxo

DeleteLove the Beatles shirt and the jacket is great! Everytime I've been to NY I've laughed about how quickly people move around each other. It really is a skill :)
