Life Lately: Flea Markets, Fake Guitars & Wild Man Foraging

My life lately...

*Warning: Very photo heavy post.

At the movie theatre they put out a "stage" and fake guitar that you could use to take pictures.
Jackie figured out that it made noise and you could sing along!

Brittany and I decided to go foraging with "Wild Man" Steve Brill yesterday.
We learned what plants are edible and some that definitely aren't.
It was really interesting and we were right near a park, so you don't have to go deep
into a forest to find healthy alternatives.

Black birch tree
The bark on the thin branches can be peeled away to reveal a green inside,
which smells like peppermint and when you chew it it relieves pain.

On the right are Brittany's awesome shoes

Garlic mustard
It's a bit bitter but tastes pretty good.

My favorite was Wood Sorrel,
which tastes citrusy.

Foraging was really fun, but please don't try it out unless you have a guide!

    1. Yeah I'm not sure I'm prepared to tackle all those critiques. It was so much fun! We'll have to see if we can remember what was edible.
