Extra, extra, read all about it! Sincerely, Sara has a new series! I love all of the series I currently have on my blog (Inspired By, Outfits, Looks I Love, Inspiration), but I felt it was time for something new and I wanted that new series to include you guys, my lovely readers!
The amazing Danielle of Sometimes Sweet did a series like this years ago called Literate and Stylish, which I absolutely loved. I asked Danielle if I could continue the series in a way and she said yes! Thank you, Danielle!!
So I'm thinking there should be two Books & Looks posts a month. One on the first Wednesday and one on the last Wednesday of every month. How does that sound? You also don't have to be a blogger to participate. I welcome everyone!
Want to be a part of this series? Email me at sara.strauss8922@yahoo.com with "Books & Looks" as the subject. Please include four to five pictures (preferably horizontal) of you in your favorite piece of clothing (shirt, dress, shoes, scarf, etc.) with your favorite book. Also include a paragraph or two about why it's favorite piece of clothing and why it's your favorite book, and three social media links.
Although Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is my absolute favorite book, I chose to show off this book because it's my favorite cover. It has a soft rubbery pink cover with engraved words all over it that I just think it really cool.
LOOK: I've had this blue dress for years and still wear it often. It's soft, I like the length, the subtle cut-outs at the bottom, and the scalloped edge. One of my favorite memories while wearing this dress was playing on a elementary school playground with my friends a few years ago.
Cardigan: old | Dress: Delia's (old) | Necklace: JewelMint (silver version)
What's your favorite book?
I love this! I'll need to do this. Your dress is -so- soft looking. I love the hem detail.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a great idea! It is always a difficult question to answer. They are like my children that I can not choose just one. You look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAhh what a cool series, I'm super excited! I will definitely have to participate! :)
ReplyDeleteYour dress is very pretty, that color on you is gorgeous! And you're right, the cover of this book is very pretty!

Love that dress!! And picking a favorite book. . .yikes! So hard to narrow down.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am on this! I actually have some photos of me already with my favorite book and my favorite dress that I had a friend take awhile back for a feature kind of like this on another blog, but then I never submitted them. They're not super-recent but I still wear the dress and I still love the book, so I'm definitely going to send them to you.
ReplyDeleteOh, also, I love your dress. It looks really comfy!
Love love love LOOOOVVVVEEE! I need to get an outfit together :D
ReplyDeleteThis is SUCH a great idea! I can't wait to see more of this series! And of course, I'm loving this dress too :)

P.S. LOVE P&P. It was such a favorite read of mine growing up. I always had to re-read it every year. I should go back and re-read since I stopped doing that. =)
I love this idea!! I love choosing outfits based on books! I think I'm going have to be a part of this!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun concept, Sara! I firmly believe that a good book is your best accessory, and I can't think of a better way to showcase it. Plus... that copy of Pride and Prejudice is so pretty and look gorgeous in contrast with your dress. I can't wait to see more of these features :)
