If you've never seen The Mindy Project, it's about Mindy Lahiri, an OB/GYN who wants her life to be a romantic comedy but things never work out that way. It's a hilarious show that's half work sitcom, half romantic comedy. The dialogue is wonderful and the crazy situations these characters get into have me laughing every episode.
Mindy Lahiri
Mindy (Mindy Kaling) is a doctor that wishes her life would be like the romantic comedies she's obsessed with. She's a talkative, sassy, blunt, empowering, feminine woman, who deep down just wants to fall in love. She also knows her faults and doesn't shy away from them.
Mindy loves color and patterns and mixes them all the time. Mindy wears professional, but fun pieces. Wear a blue plaid dress with a green tunic underneath and cute green flats, or wear a red windowpane print dress with a sheer polka dot top underneath and nude bow heels. Lastly, go for a colorblock cardigan, blue print top, navy pencil skirt, and cute pointed flats.
Danny Castellano
Danny (Chris Messina) is a doctor that Mindy works with. He's a good doctor, who tells Mindy when she's doing something wrong or stupid. He's stubborn and can be a bit of a grouch, but he's also loyal and caring and likes to bake.
For a casual, out of the office look, wear a red plaid shirt, stacked wrap bracelets, a watch, jeans, and blue sneakers. Or look office appropriate in a navy blazer, striped dress, red sunglasses, mint watch, and navy wedges.
Jeremy Reed / Betsy Putch
Jeremy (Ed Weeks), another doctor at the practice, is a soft spoken Englishmen, who is the person that everyone tends to go to for romantic advice. Betsy (Zoe Jarman) is the cute and kind receptionist, who also has the most adorable style.
Dress like Jeremy by wearing a comfy beige sweater, purple tank, polka dot trousers, and black loafers. Or emulate Betsy by putting on a black and white heart-print sweater with a pink button up blouse underneath, a blue striped skirt, gold bobby pins, and pink wedges.
Tamra / Morgan Tookers
Two of the nurses at the practice are: Tamra (Xosha Roquemore), a young woman who loves talking about gossip and beauty, and Morgan (Ike Barinholtz), a reformed ex-con with a heart of gold.
Look sassy like Tamra in a red dress, drop earrings, a gold fringe necklace, and brown wedges. Or go for a relaxed and comfy look like Morgan: wear a blue gingham shirt, a gray tee, dark gray sweatpants, a bright green watch, and black sneakers.
Say hello to my new sponsor, Foreign Geek!
I am NaNa, the geek behind the blog Foreign Geek. I am the girl who wears a scrunchie, still in her PJs, typing frantically on MacBook at the local coffee shop. I mostly blog about my travels, living as an expat and life in between. My biggest goal is to experience, not just travel, the world. I wish to live as a local on different parts of the world for a few years before moving to another place.
This year me and my BFF plan to travel to a non predetermined destination, we plan to show up in the airport and book the next flight that will take us somewhere that doesn't require a visa.

The Mindy Project always makes me laugh until I cry - such a funny show! Although I think my favourite show, style-wise, is Elementary; I always want to style Lucy Liu's wardrobe, and I spend an almost silly amount of time after each episode googling to see if I can find out what she was wearing!
