Yay another Ipsy Glam Bag! This month's theme was sensationally sunkissed, so it was all of about being out in the sun and easy products that let you put them on and go. Besides one product that I'll never use, this is one of my favorite bags. I adore the products I received and have been using them ever since I opened the package. Also, this pink scalloped bag is the cutest thing ever! I'm currently using it to hold some on-the-go make up in my purse.

bareMinerals 5-in-1 Cream Eye Shadow in Divine Wine
This is my favorite product of the bunch. I didn't think I was going to like this because I have oily eyelids and cream eye shadows tend to crease on me, but this was wonderful. It's long-wearing, it has a primer built into it, has SPF, and I think the dark brown taupe color is gorgeous. There's also a very subtle gold shimmer. It's wet when first applied, but dries quickly and doesn't budge at all. I'm definitely going to get the full size version.
Benefit They're Real Mascara
I used to not wear mascara, but I've been converted. This mascara made my lashes look so long! It doesn't clump or flake and it's easy to put on for a mascara newbie like me. I see why this mascara is so popular. I'll be getting a full size of this too.
Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass Lip & Cheek Stain in Cherry
Cheek and lip stains get either be really good (easy to blend, looks real) or really bad (streaky, looks fake), and this one is really good. I just dab it a few times on my cheeks and blend it for a nice rosy glow. I'm not sure if it stays all day on me since I have oily skin, but it lasts for a long time. I like that the applicator looks like a lip gloss wand, so it's easy to apply. This tint also has a sweet, cupcake scent.
Lavilin Jojoba Gel Cream
This gel cream has a fresh, subtle scent that blends really well into the skin, doesn't leave a sticky or oily residue, and it instantly made my skin soft. I'm serious, I've been using it on my hands and they're so soft now. It's meant to be used after physical activity because the jojoba is meant to help restore what your body lost from working out.
Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil
This I can definitely see myself never using. I never tan or use fake tanners. It's not that I wouldn't, but let's be honest I'm lazy and don't want to spend my time exfoliating my skin, rubbing my skin with tanner, and waiting for it to dry. This oil is for people who are already tan because it's supposed to enhance the tan while also providing sun protection. So this is not the right product for me.

Oooh it looks like you got some great stuff! I love mascara and I'm glad you liked the one they sent you! I also don't use a tanning oil or lotion...I'm Hispanic so I'm already tan lol I actually have always hated how tan I was (so bad i know!) that I would joke around in high school that I would love to have a de-tanner... people thought I was crazy lol I've learned to just be happy and I don't complain anymore since i know many girls would love to have a tan year round. :)

I love that shadow and the lip/cheek stain! Such a vibrant red. I've been makeup free for most of summer, but I need some new things in my lineup for fall - those are great!
ReplyDeleteI'm more white than snow white so I can only dream of looking sunkissed like those (in)famous California girls. But I do know how much all of my girls are raving about the Benefit mascara's and I have been tempted to try one for myself. I didn't know they had sample sizes and the full size is a little price-y if I don't know if I'm going to like the mascara. Next time I'm in a country that has Sephora, I'll see if I can find a sample size! xo

I've been hearing such good things about that mascara. I might have to cave and try it out. I've been wearing the same brand of mascara since my freshman year of college.

That mascara is my favorite!! I have short, super straight lashes. If I don't wear mascara, you can't even tell that I have any. While I haven't found a mascara that works wonders, Benefit's at least helps a little bit and you're right, no clumping at all!

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if they do have sample sizes or if this was just because we got it in our Ipsy bags, but you should ask and see if you can get a smaller size to test it out first! It's a wonderful mascara!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing less make up this summer too and it feels great! I'm mostly just doing eye primer, eye shadow that's the same color as my skin, some eyeliner, blush, and that's it!
