Inspired By: Winter Activities

Now that it's freezing cold, your cheeks are red, there's snow in your boots (and probably in your hair), and you're drinking something warm, it's time to enjoy those winter weather activities. It might be difficult to be outside at the moment given that the wind cuts right through to your bones, but there are a bunch of fun things you can do outside that can take your mind off the fact that you can't feel your toes.

I personally like the winter and being outside in the cold (for short periods of time) to enjoy the crisp air. But for those who prefer to stay warm and cozy, you can enjoy the view of snow falling from the comfort of your home while wearing fuzzy socks.

Ice Skating
Inspired By: Ice Skating
Every year it always takes me a little while to get back into the hang of ice skating, but then I'm always happy I did. It's challenging, but fun and graceful and a good laugh when you or someone else falls on their butt.

Keep warm by wearing a faux-fur lined jacket, beige sweater dress, tights, tall boots, and pink winter accessories. Or wear a red cable knit sweater (with a few layers underneath), jeans, fold-over boots, blue hat, and heart gloves.

Holiday Parties
Inspired By: Holiday Parties
Holiday parties are almost upon us! Whether it's a family gather, a bunch of friends, a party for work, a winter wedding, or whatever event is on your calendar, of course you want to look chic and put together.

For a work party, wear a black velvet blazer, a purple peplum top, velvet pants, and black pumps. If you're going to a family gathering, put on a lacey black dress with a pretty green necklace and black booties. Or if you're attending a wedding, don a gray metallic dress, polka dot tights, and nude pumps.

Snowball Fights
Inspired By: Snowball Fights
You never know when one will occur. One minute your walking with friends and/or family down to your car and the next balls of packed snow are flying at your face. You only have one option: throw a snowball back!

Stay bundled up up in the cold by wearing a pom-pom hat, a faux-fur trim green jacket, striped sweater, black jeans, and lace-up boots. Or layer it up in a burgundy sweater, plaid button up, jeans, tall boots, gray embellished hat, and gloves.

Drinking Hot Chocolate by the Fire
Inspired By: Drinking Cocoa
If you're a homebody like me or prefer to stay indoors hibernate while it's winter, there are lots of fun activities you can do: drink cocoa by the fire, play fun games with friends (like Cards Against Humanity), have a movie marathon, indulge in a warm bath, have a video game tournament, or read a good book.

Even indoors you have to stay cozy, so wear a striped sweater, black leggings, warm socks, and slipper boots. Or never get out of your pajamas, or wear a beige sweater, floral sweatpants, and snowflake-print slipper boots.

What's your favorite winter activity?

  3. I think I seriously want all the items from the first and the third collage. Everything looks so comfy and pretty! We have only had one night of snowfall and it was so went that it didn't even cover the ground. The flakes just melted as soon as it fell down. And maybe I like it that way ;) xo
