Inspired By: Summer Activities

I wrote pretty much the same post almost exactly a year ago, but I wanted to update it for 2014! Now that it's warm, it's like something rejuvenating and relaxing has filled the air. Everything seems more laid back and simultaneously calmer and more exciting, don't you think? There are a million possibilities; you could sit and read in the sun, you could go to the farmer's market, go zip lining, climb a mountain, go swimming, go on a road trip, and much more!

Although I personally don't like the hot weather, I like the feeling that anything is possible in the summer, and that even though the days are longer, there just isn't enough time to do every amazing thing you want to do.

At the Beach
Beach
Feel the sand between your toes, lounge on a towel, and feel that cool water on your skin while you're at the beach. In your giant beach tote, put a cute bathing suit, a fun hat (whether it's a fedora or a floppy one), a simple chambray cover up, and easy sandals. Don't forget your towel, snacks, and of course sunscreen.

Carnival Fun
Carnival
Carnivals and amusement parks are perfect for days when it's sunny but not too hot, so that you can walk around for hours and go on all of the rides and try all of the delicious food. Wear a blue romper with a tribal-print sweater for at night, a compass ring, and blue wedges. Or throw on a navy lace-y camisole, a feather necklace, shorts, galaxy-print sneakers, and a backpack.

Bicycling at the Park

Get some exercise in and enjoy a nearby park at the same time. Why not bring a picnic basket too for when you find the perfect spot among the trees and flowers? Go casual in a moon tee, distressed jeans, round sunglasses, friendship bracelets, and pink Converse. Or instead put on a chambray dress, light scarf, flower necklace, wayfarer sunglasses, and brown sandals.

Museum Hopping
Museum
For when it's simply too hot to be outside for longer than three seconds, museums are a perfect place to be -- you learn more about history and can take ridiculous pictures with the statues. It's win-win, really. Wear a white crochet cardigan, a gray maxi dress, an elephant necklace, and brown sandals. Or throw on a pink sweater, black jeans, camera necklace, and striped wedges.

What's your favorite summer activity?
