DIY Wrap Bangle

After I saw this video of I Spy DIY's Jenni wrapping her sandals with embroidery floss,
I knew I had to make this DIY but with a bangle.

Tools Needed:
  • Embroidery floss / friendship bracelet string
  • Scissors
  • Bangle
  • Glue

1. Using your first color, loop it around the bangle once and then knot the end to the rest of the string. If that sounds hard to understand, the video I linked to above will show you how to do it.

2. Wrap it around the bangle as many times as you want. When you want to move onto your next color, knot it twice to your next color (as shown above). Just make sure that the knot will be on the inside of the bangle.

3. Cut off the excess string as you go along, but keep the extra string from your first color, you'll need it at the end. Put a little dab of glue on the knot to ensure it sticks.

4. Wrap the entire bangle, alternating colors whenever you want. When you're at the end, knot the string of the last color to the excess from the first color. (You can see it below near my middle finger.)

5. You're done! You can wear it with other bracelets or by itself to make it stand out.

I think it turned out really well, if I do say so myself. What do you think?

  3. So cute! You did a great job. I'm not sure I have the skill to do that myself.

    1. You should definitely try it though -- it's super easy and you only have to know how to tie knots.

  4. Oh what a fun diy project. I have so many plain boring bangles and this would totally make them better. Thanks for all the beautiful birthday wishes girl!
