Time for more classic literature! I really loved putting together this post because below are some of my favorite stories. Although I've never read Little Women and The Importance of Being Earnest (terrible, I know), I love the movies. I have an okay relationship with A Tale of Two Cities and The Odyssey; I remember vehemently not wanting to read them for school, but then I also remember liking the stories.
Written by Louisa May Alcott, it's the ever-popular story of the March sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, who learn about life, love, and friendship who struggle to survive a New England winter during the Civil War. It all starts when Jo decides to befriend the grandson of the hermit next door.
Stay warm in the winter by wearing a cozy gray sweater, blue floral dress, black tights, white scarf, white mittens, and brown boots. Or wear a black pea coat, pink shirt dress, and black boots. There's a piece of jewelry for each girl: a scissor necklace for Meg who helps run the household, book earrings for Jo since she loves literature, musical earrings for Beth, and a pencil ring for Amy since she loves to draw.

A Tale of Two Cities
Written by Charles Dickens, the story is about a tumultuous time -- the French Revolution. The brutality and wrath of the time is shown through the eyes of Charles Darnay, a former French aristocrat, and Sydney Carton, an English alcoholic attorney who is in love with Darnay's wife and who seeks redemption.
Wear red, white, and blue in a laid-back way by throwing on a striped scarf, striped white shirt, jeans, and red flats. Or wear the colors of those two countries in a dressed-up way: navy blazer, red lace dress, clear earrings, and black bow pumps.

The Odyssey
Written by Homer between the eight and ninth century B.C., The Odyssey is the story of the Greek hero Odysseus and the many marvels and challenges he encounters during his ten-year voyage home to Ithaca after the Trojan War.
For journeying aboard a great ship, wear a wave print dress, blue sweater jacket, ship ring, tall boots, and a watch since Odysseus has been away for so long. Or dress like the goddess Circe, who Odysseus meets on his journey and who is renowned for her knowledge of herbs. She turned Odysseus' mean into pigs after they ate her wine and cheese. Don a sequin wave dress, floral headband, leaf ring, and black pumps.

The Importance of Being Earnest
Written by Oscar Wilde, this humorous and satirical play revolves around mistaken identity and the social conventions of Victorian England. Two men, John Worthing and his friend Algernon Moncrieff, both use the pseudonym Ernest to woo women, but when they all end up staying at the same home, it's clear that they can't both go by the same name and hilarity ensues.
For a modern Victorian gentleman look, put on a black wide brim hat, black blazer, cream polka dot top, black wax coated denim, black pointed heels. Or dress like the demure lady that you are by wearing a white lace dress, heart earrings, studded pink clutch, and nude heels.
