Summer Reading List

My 2016 reading goal is to read 60 books and I'm already at 48 books! I'm a reading monster right now! I'm just devouring every single book in sight! I'm currently four books: Uprooted, A Court of Mist and Fury, Learning to Swear in America, and The House of Hades. The problem with wanting to read all the books is that I want to read all of them right now!

I still have a few books from my winter reading list that I want to get to, but here are some reads I want to devour this summer immediately.

Outfit: Awkward Is My Specialty

This "awkward is my specialty" mug speaks to me! I can be a pretty awkward person; not knowing how to talk to people, not always sure what to do with my hands, getting my words mixed up, saying things that I think are funny but are really just weird, and at times preferring to be alone with a book rather than with other people. I'm sure we all feel awkward sometimes, but I feel like I'm a weirdo more often than not. If you're one of those normal people please tell me your secret!

This bag is my birthday present to myself. Isn't this JoTotes bag a beauty?! Looks like a regular purse right? Well, it also doubles as a camera bag! It's padded along the bottom and sides, it has removable padded inserts, the flap is a pocket, and there are pockets in the back. And it's just the prettiest wine color! Happy early birthday to me!

Lusting: Metallic Sandals

Sandals are a must for summer, but why wear boring brown sandals when you can have metallic ones?! I've been seeing metallic sandals everywhere and I'm a huge fan because it catches the bright summer sun and looks great with a tan (whether it's real or self-tanner). The gold ones in the top left corner are calling my name!

Birthday Wishlist

My 27th birthday is on June 22nd! Yep, I have a very young face. (I moisturize...and you know, genetics.) Since I clearly don't have enough Harry Potter merch in my life (bold-faced lie), here are few items I've been dying to get, especially Hermione's wand. I kick myself, like Dobby, every time I think about the fact that I didn't get it while I was at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter a few years ago.

Since birthdays really mean you should celebrate all month long, I already bought myself a present I really, really wanted, which is this beautiful marsala-colored camera bag. And a few books: The Shadow Queen, The Queen of Hearts, The Rose and the Dagger & Love Charms and Other Catastrophes.

Outfit: Mixed Metals

I saw Les Miserables on Broadway two weeks ago with friends and I was in absolute awe of the show! Not only was the cast incredible, but the set was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Everything slid onto the stage as if by magic; the background, the buildings in the foreground, the tables. And the giant screen in the back was like a movie screen that changed as the actors moved around the stage. So amazing! What was the last Broadway show you saw?

With my birthday coming up, I want to see another Broadway show. I'm dying to see Aladdin, but tickets are kind of expensive. Instead, I might see She Loves Me, a musical based on a story that also inspired the movie You've Got Mail (which I love!) and it features Zachary Levi, Laura Benanti, and Jane Krakowski. And it takes place in the 1940s. And did I mention is has Zachary Levi?!
