Inspired By: Books Turned Movies

Hollywood has turned to books once again! This month, there are four movies coming to the big screen that are based on novels. I've never read Love, Rosie, but it sounds so cute that I've added it to my "Want To Read" list on Goodreads. The only one I've read is The D.U.F.F. (review coming tomorrow!) and I thought it was a fun and quick read.

Love, Rosie
Love, Rosie

Written by Cecelia Ahern, Love, Rosie is about two friends (Rosie and Alex), who are destined to be together and everyone knows it, but they're separated as teenagers. However, they stay connected via letters and email, so maybe their love story is quite over yet.

Wear a cute, classic Valentine's Day look by throwing on a red dress with a heart-shaped cut-out, floral necklace, and suede black pumps. Or go for something more casual: a pink top, a colorful plaid scarf, black jeans, stud earrings, and orange flats. (Release Date: February 6)

The Last Apprentice / Seventh Son
The Last Apprentice
Written by Joseph Delaney, Old Gregory is the town's Spook, who rids the local villages of evil, but he can't do it forever. Twenty-nine apprentices have come and gone, and now Thomas Ward is his last hope. Will Thomas succeed?

Go for a look based on the cover, a black cape, a burgundy blouse, black jeans, a star and moon ring, an ear cuff, and tall black boots. Or a modern interpretation: a printed sweater cape, a gray sweater, jeans, gray sneakers, and a black bucket bag. (Release Date: February 6)

Fifty Shades of Grey
Fifty Shades of Grey
Written by E.L. James, the story follows innocent and naive Anastasia Steele, who realizes she wants to get close to Christian Grey, an intimidating and brilliant businessman, but she discovers that Grey has different tastes and a need to control everything.

Put on a black and gray tweed dress, black tights, strappy heels, a sparkly necklace, and a pink and tortoise shell watch. Or throw on gray blouse, gray ponte knit trousers, bow stud earrings, and metallic oxford flats. (Release Date: February 13)

The D.U.F.F.
The DUFF
Written by Kody Keplinger, Bianca is a high school student who realizes that everyone knows her as the D.U.F.F. (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). To take her mind off of it and the fact that her parent's marriage is falling apart, she starts sleeping with Wesley, the slick man-slut of the school, but starts falling for him.

Wear a fun and urban look by throwing on a beanie, a gray swing dress, a tortoise shell watch, and black heeled booties. Or put on a bright and casual outfit of a white striped top, distressed jeans, a blue watch, a yellow scarf, and yellow flats. (Release Date: February 20)

  2. I'm going to add Love, Rosie to my Goodreads list too. I like pretty much everything you chose for that collage and the story sounds good. I don't have much money for movies these days, but the library never fails to have books I love. <3 http://aroseisinbloom.blogspot.com/

  7. 50 shades of grey got boring before I even got to the good parts, haha. I'm not sure if I'm going to see the movie. Probably not! I am however intrigued by the story of DUFF. I have never heard of it, but it sounds goooood! Plus, I love the outfit collage that goes with it /D xo
