Books For Fairytale Retelling Addicts

As a 90s kid, my childhood was of course spent watching and rewatching Disney movies. Since most of you are also Millennials, I'm sure the same can be said for you guys too. Disney just knows how to charm us with their wonderful, heartwarming stories and twenty years later I'm still addicted, especially to their Disney Princess movies. Seriously, if Mulan or Tangled is one TV it's almost compulsory that I watch it!

And with the new Beauty and the Beast hitting theaters this weekend (can I get a YASSSS!?), I thought it was the perfect time to share some great fairytale-inspired novels. So this is for all of the fairytale retelling addicts like me!
Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine (young adult, fantasy, romance)
Beauty by Robin McKinley (fantasy, romance)
Cinder by Marissa Meyer (young adult, science fiction, romance)
Towering by Alex Flinn (young adult, fantasy, romance)
Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce (young adult, fantasy, paranormal)
Princess and the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George (young adult, fantasy, romance)
East by Edith Pattou (young adult, fantasy, romance)
Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix (young adult, romance)
The Frog Princess by E.D. Baker (young adult, fantasy, romance)
A Curse Dark as Gold by Elizabeth C. Bunce (young adult, fantasy, historical fiction)
Fables, Vol 1 by Bill Willingham (graphic novel, fantasy, fiction)
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire (fantasy, historical fiction)

Do you like fairytale retellings too?

P.S. -- Books for bad ass gamers!
