Last week, my friend Avra and I went apple picking because we've been wanting to go forever. It was a perfectly sunny day, if maybe a little hot to be carrying a heavy bag of apples and climbing up hills, but so worth it. We went to Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard in North Salem, NY, where a bag of apples is $25, so Avra and I split it, but I still go so many apples that I'm sure they'll last me quite a while. (Pictures of our adventures coming on Friday.)
Initially I wanted to wear a skirt, but I'm glad I ended up wearing jeans and booties because there was a lot of grass, bugs, dust, and bending over to pick up apples. Since it was cool in the morning I threw on my bright pink blazer to match my jewelry and lipstick.
