Movies I Want to See (March 2012)

There's so many movies coming out this month that I absolutely need to see, and I can tell that much of my hard-earned money will be going to my local cinema in upcoming weeks.

What movies are you going to see this month? Are you counting down the days till The Hunger Games?

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax
I've never read the book, but the movie looks simply amazing. Starring Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zach Efron, and Taylor Swift. (March 2)

Bel Ami
Robert Pattinson plays French writer Guy de Maupassant, who sleeps his way to the top of Paris' society in 1890s. Though not a fan of Pattinson myself, this film looks intriguing. (March 2 limited)

John Carter
Confederate captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) is transported to Mars, where a war has broken out between two leaders. Also starring Willam Defoe, Lynn Collins, and Thomas Haden Church. Action? Check. Sci-Fi/Fantasy? Check. Hot shirtless main character? Check. (March 9)

21 Jump Street
Because sometimes you just have to watch something fun and crazy. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are police officers that go under cover as high school students and I can only imagine the hilarious antics that will ensue. (March 16)

The Hunger Games
Nothing in the world will stop me from watching this movie about perseverance and strength in the face of certain death. Jennifer Lawrence plays Katniss, a girl who volunteers to take her sister's place and fight in the Hunger Games, where twenty-four tributes fight to the death in front of a live audience. (March 23)

Mirror Mirror
This film about Snow White (Lily Collins) and the Evil Queen (Julia Roberts) looks good enough to eat with all it's colorful customes and bright scenery. It seems fun and whimsical and romantic, and I can't wait to see it. I know the poster says it comes out the 16th, but everywhere else says it's being released the 30th. (March 30)

  1. What a great idea for a post. I haven't heard of half of these! But they look good, I'll have to go watch the trailers.

But you can bet I'm excited for Lorax and Hunger Games!
