Sponsor Spotlight: Chelsea of Chels & The City

Today Chelsea of Chels & The City is taking over my blog!

Hello Sincerely, Sara fans! I'm Chelsea of Chels & the City and I am here to take over Sara's blog for the day. I am super excited to share some outfit inspiration with you in a form you are probably familiar with if you frequent Sara's blog. I wanted to stick to her kind of style and bring to you three outfits based on the book (and soon to be movie) The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I hope you enjoy these looks, and stop by my blog to visit me as well!
This first look is inspired by the lead female of The Fault In Our Stars, Hazel Grace. While Hazel has been battling thyroid cancer for the past three years of her life and is just 16 years old, there is a sense of sophistication about her. She is at peace with her life, and though she wouldn't mention this to just anyone, she does worry about hurting those around her when the "inevitable" happens, which causes her to keep her distance from people. I created this look based off of her carefree, but still tough exterior, attitude. And while she carts along a rolling suitcase to carry her portable oxygen tank, hopefully none of you have to do that. But if you're going for a look based on her character, a large, not overly trendy, backpack is a must.

This next look is inspired by Augustus Waters. The charming young man Hazel meets in a support group for kids with various cancers. Augustus has had his leg amputated because of his osteosarcoma, which is now in remission. Augustus also has a sense of sophistication about him, but in the way that seems to make him know what to say or do for anyone at any given moment. He and Hazel meet through their mutual friend, Isaac, at support group and hit it off from the beginning. You know a story is going to be heartbreaking when the two characters fall in love so easily and seem to balance each other out from the start. Augustus is always dressed very suave for a teenager so if you're going to dress with him in mind, I hope you have a good bomber jacket.
Finally, this last look is inspired by the book itself. I loved this book, like pretty much everyone who has read it does. I didn't realize it was a young adult novel until I started reading it and flew through it. I'll admit that I did force myself to put it down a couple times because I knew what was coming for these two beautiful characters and didn't want to see it come to that as quickly as I was reading. And like any good YA novel, the fan art and paraphernalia has come with it. If you do a quick search of clothing or accessories you'll come up with so many choices based on this book, so I knew I had to put together a look that incorporated some of those pieces. The movie version is due out this summer and I am so excited! I hope that it brings an even deeper element to these, already amazing, characters. Maybe I'll wear an outfit like this when I go see it?

I hope you all enjoy these outfits and if you've read The Fault In Our Stars, I hope you agree that they represent the characters well. Let me know which one is your favorite! And if you haven't read the book yet...go do so! Hope you all have a great weekend!
