Five Spring Fashion Trends {2015}

Who's ready for spring? I am, I am! This seems to be the winter that never ends. I've lost count of how many times it's snowed and I can't remember the last time I saw the sun (kidding). But seriously, I just want to go outside without a jacket, hat, scarf, gloves, and boots. Come on, spring!

ONE | UNIQUE PRINTS
Unique Prints

Unique prints have been popular for a while now, but with warmer weather coming you can make it the focus of your outfit. Go crazy and have fun by wearing heart prints, dramatic florals, animal prints (both leopard and actual animals on your clothing), and more. Mix two prints together, like a keys print shirt with gingham pants, or wear a feminine outfit of a heart print skirt with a sheer blouse.

TWO | GINGHAM
Gingham
Gingham is like plaid's friendlier, girlier cousin and it's perfect for spring and summer. It's eye-catching and works for a lot of styles; it's not just for preppy girls anymore. Try pairing it with florals for a feminine look, or wear a gingham top with wide leg jeans and nude pointed toe flats for a casual look, or a sheer black blouse tucked into gingham pants for a cool outfit.

THREE | BACK TO THE 70s
Back to the 70s
While 60s-inspired styles are still popular, the 70s now seem to be trumping it. Think fringe, suede, wide leg jeans, wedges, and dramatic sunglasses. While this 70s trend seems to be tailored to those with a bohemian flair, don't be afraid to try it out: wide leg jeans works with every style, a brightly-colored suede skirt pairs nicely with a printed top or a sheer blouse, or throw on a floral kimono with a white tee, skinny jeans, and red pointed toe flats.

FOUR | SHEER
Sheer
Sheer clothing is perfect for those who work in an office (if you don't go overboard with it). For the office, try a solid or printed sheer blouse with tailored pants and pointed toe flats, or a skirt with some extra sheer lace at the bottom with a floral print top. Or if you want to dip into the style you could try a transparent scarf in a bright color or see-through flats.

FIVE | POINTED TOE FLATS
Flats Toe Flats
Pointed toe flats are everywhere right now and there are so many different styles that you're sure to find one or five that you love. Want something understated? Try a nude or black one. Want something fun? Wear a bright color or or studs. How about something feminine? Get flats with a bow or florals.

P.S. -- All of last year's spring trends still popular!

Which trends will you be incorporating into your style?

  3. I think I have all of these trends except for the gingham. I thought about buying a gingham top a couple of times but I've been worried about pulling it off without looking too "country girl" haha, if that makes any sense at all.

  9. I'm saying right now, that I will never wear bell bottom/flared jeans ever again. I remember those were in when I was in middle school/elementary school and I refuse to wear them again!! But I like the round sunglasses and pointy toes flats are my favorite shoe type ever!!

  10. Oh god, I remember wearing flare jeans in middle school and high school too! I think I would wear them again, but they would have to be more sophisticated and a dark wash. But we'll see! haha!

  13. I didn't think about that, but I would probably look a bit country in it too and that's not what I would want either!

  14. And here I am wishing to see more snow... I feel I haven't gotten enough! Ha. But I do like my spring clothing and these are great picks. I love how you described gingham, I didn't even know that was the name for it. And sheer clothing is a big favorite for me, it's so nice and light and usually sophisticated. :)

  16. I'm so picky about patterns, I probably wouldn't buy anything from the first set of pictures. The pointed toe flats however, gimme one of everything!
