Happy Monday, ladies! Now that I'm a working girl, I've been pinning work appropriate outfits to my new Job {Outfits & Info} Pinterest page. The dress code is business casual, but since it's a magazine I could probably get away with being a little more creative (ie. fun prints, brighter colors, print mixing, and maybe sometimes jeans).
Now that I (mostly) sit all day, I can wear heels, so I'm a little excited about that! I'll definitely be keeping flats in my car though for the drive there and back.
I also realized that I have one pair of black pants, so do you guys have any recommendation for not-too-expensive trousers for short girls?
Two-tone jacket for professionalism + polka dot skirt to add some fun!
Creative and professional outfit
I'm in love with this sky blue blazer!
Blue blazer + white dress + leopard print heels = love
Professional but still fun
Mint + blue
Feminine and classic (and I would work for a job event!)
I hate dealing with finding black pants! I don't know what it is but they are just so hard and frustrating that I just normally give up.

Hi Sara,
ReplyDeleteThank you so, so much for the comment you left on my blog. I loved it - listen to the critiques that hit home. So true. Also, to add to your work wardrobe, I think a funky but still professional haircut is always a plus and I believe in the great everyday bag that is polished and fashionable. I love the first look here the best.

My office is very casual so I don't usually get too dressed up!

Congratulations on your new job! These are all cute looks. My office is pretty casual, so I can wear jeans on the regular if I wanted to, but during the warmer months I know I'll be wearing lots of dresses and skirts!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the job!! I am a petite lady as well, and all of my dress pants are from Maurices. They are reasonably priced and they come in both short and extra short!

i just went on a work clothes shopping spree! i also went and got 2 pairs of paints shortened. they always say on what not to wear that if things don't fit right, get them tailored!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new job! This is such a fun round-up of office appropriate looks. I tend to wear more skirts and dresses to work than pants but when it comes to trousers, I tend to look for cropped styles. I've seen a few styles on ASOS recently that look quite promising. And they carry petites!

Congrats on the job, and I love this post! It may be odd, but I LOVE work wear. Many of these are very cute!

I love the last look! Dressing up like this is what I miss the most about working in an office. So many colored pencil skirts and so little reason to wear them anymore :(

I love how these are totally professional but not boring. I am so glad my office has no dress code. I could not deal with black pants and grey or white tops every day. Colors add life!

ReplyDeleteNow that I have more professional attire, I'm trying to find ways to incorporate it into my casual style too!
