Inspiration: Reading Nook

Oh how I wish I had a cute little reading nook! It seems all I want to do during January, February, and March is sit and read with a hot drink while I wait for spring. When I get my own place one day, I'm determined to get a teal or purple tufted armchair with a footrest that will sit near a bright window with a pretty pillow and side table to keep my new books.
Do you have a reading nook?
What would your reading nook look like?

  1. I wish I had a reading nook, these are so cute! Mine is currently just a sofa (it's not exceptionally pinterest worthy due to the clutter in the bookshelves and space behind it but there are so many cushions to make it comfy) When I get my own place I'm determined to make a clutter-free cute nook too!

  2. I hear ya! I especially love the first image! I am all up for tufted armchairs but they can be a bit uncomfy but this one looks wider, so I could sit on my legs like a pretzel which I love to do :)

  9. These are lovely! My favorites are the ones with the colorful armchairs. My reading nook is just my normal bed, lol. But maybe someday I'll have a more creative space for reading! ;)

  10. MY DREAM. I've always wanted a reading nook - the ones that always catch my eye are the window seats with lots of fluffy pillows and all that light, but that fluffy pink armchair spot in the top left - gosh.

  11. I've seen pictures like this around tumblr before and they've always got me wanting to curl up with a good book on a comfy couch. One of my life goals is to have a library in my house when I grow up! If that doesn't pan out I would totally settle for one of these cozy nooks :)

  24. I fidget and move around while reading, so it needs to be a very comfy chair!

  25. I love the idea of having one that's outside. Something where you could even feel a spray of rain without getting drenched. If it's cold? Lots of warm clothing, blankets and coffee. If it's very hot? Chill clothes, no shoes, plenty of iced tea and just learning to enjoy the breeze.

  30. So...growing up, I loved Belle the most out of all the Disney Princesses. She was smart, wasn't shallow, and wasn't afraid to be different. When I saw the scene where Beast showed her the library, all I could think was, "my future home will have a mini library just like that!!!"

I realized a few years ago that the library idea would cost a small fortune hahah but there's something so beautiful about a special place just for books to rest (& keep secrets ;D )

I want a nook! I've created one in my 5yo's room for her, but I want one, too! That's the dream! I think the very first one, top left, is my favourite there.

  35. YES!! I 100% agree! I've always wanted one of those ladders that moves back and forth in front of a bookshelf like from the movie! One day you will have a magnificent little library!! :)

  36. Yeah! You could have a hammock too, which would be awesome! You look at the stars at night when its warm!
